Absolutely. My boy had a massive game bar that penalty, which was more of a slip. But boy, oh boy he on top 3 ball-playing defender itw.
La Masia kids are just raised differently, aren’t they? Bernal is ice cold with the passing too.
He’s a progressive cheat code. A lot of our attacking sequence starts with him passing the ball vertically to one of our attackers. With experience he will be better defensively as well.
Cubarsi and Bernal will become cornerstones.
Ernesto Valverde a coach and former player with extensive knowledge in the game way beyond the laymans here praises Cubarsi.
Laymans here: Cubarsi was bad and missed many passes.
As I said this sub went full mental.
82/88 completed passes!
He has been great but I feel like we have been very unfair with him. A CB at his age shouldn’t be a starter in so many matches, especially against good teams. Ideally, we should have been developing him as a backup and give him the occasional starting match against relegation and lower-ranked teams.
