  1. In Russia, any landing that you can drag your mangled legs from is a good landing.

  2. Looks like a hard landing! That won’t fly again, and the crew are going to need good chiropractors. Somehow, I doubt that’s something the Russian military will provide.

  3. So who took the picture? That logo? It looks Russian, so possible that the crash was in a Russian controlled. Which is too bad as a flight crew are good POW’s for Ukraine to take.

  4. Pretty sure I’ve found mid-tier loot in that helicopter just outside Zelenogorsk.

  5. Tried being the operative word! Pootin’s invasion has been catastrophic for Russia’s helicopter fleet.

  6. I’d say it was a successful, if hard, landing.

Might well be a write off, but the crew will (unfortunately) live to fight another day.

  7. It landed, but doesn’t “air” very good anymore

  8. This is about as hard a landing as there could be without calling it a crash. The only real difference is no fire.

  9. It landed. At worst, knowing the MI-8 they might have fucked up legs but no fatalities. The fact that it didn’t tip over, indicates engine power was down. Good landing.

  10. Be funny if they landed without a fireball because they never fuelled it in the first place

  11. I’d honestly take that rather than having the rear tail rotor shot off by a MANPADS

  12. There are going to be a few short necked Russians running around after this.

  13. Putin informed the Russian people today that yesterday’s ground indentation mission was a success.

  14. They going to argue if that’s a V or triangle on this one too?
