  1. Could be in any of them but Portugal.
Portugal shouldn’t even be an option, it could be something like Luxembourg (high end job) or in The Netherlands.

  2. People with PhD are paid less than plumber in France so that’s not were a portuguese man with a PhD would go.

  3. In a hotel in Albufeira bringing me fresh bed sheets because I vomited on them and pleading with me to stop dangling over the balcony

  4. hed like to work in switzerland but they dont let him in so now he works in berlin or munich

  5. Working in Switzerland and commuting every day from France?

  6. That feeling when youre irl João but unemployed cuz u still live in Portugal

  7. Damn, thats precisely my dilemma right now, no joke.

Same skills but my name isn’t João, though

  8. Working in Switzerland, but living in France or Germany like every sensible person does.

  9. We all know where all the foreign doctors and engineers in Germany came from

  10. Sounds like the profile of 50% of job seekers in Brussels if you change it with Luigi.

  11. Never thought I’d say that but to be fair all of our portuguese immigration is hands down one of the best . Serious , polite and hardworking people. Congrats Joao!

  12. Luxembourg? It has a decently sized Portuguese diaspora

  13. With all of that Portugal probably. Working for a university and/or a foreign company.

  14. Trick question! The answer is London.

He just brought me my prawn madras. I didn’t tip him.

  15. He has a PhD so not in France. Maybe as Uber driver though.
It can be damn difficult to find a job with a PhD in France. :/

  16. As a João who has a bachelors, masters, doing a PhD, learning how to drive, and learning a 4th language…. Feels very targeted

  17. He’s not in France. Joaos in France only do construction jobs.

  18. Man thats depressing and I am not Portugese but autistic.

  19. I mean you can easily ignore Switzerland and Portugal because Switzerland is Germany and Portugal well.. I’m sorry ripoff Pedro but you’re like your brother Spain, people there don’t work.

France.. mhhh… I never saw a Portuguese working in France so they might not like.. like what? So stupid of me to think there was a country above Spain… there’s just water!

So, my final answer is Germany.

  20. he’s working in portugal because he can’t get a job in his area so he works minimum wage and has to live with his parents while trying to save up to maybe move to one of those countries, but mom and dad are getting old so he might need to start taking care of them and he can’t afford a nursing home

  21. Shorten to ‘has a PHD’, the rest is implied and therefore redundant. Thank you.
