  1. Tyreek seems mad people are mocking Super Bowl champions as “world champions” since the world does not compete

  2. This whole thing is tired at this point, but honestly feels like media is dragging this out for clicks. According to this article, Lyles was asked if he’d put his gold medal on the line to race Hill? Like what kind of question is that lmao? Of course he wouldn’t do that. Lyles’s whole answer in the article is not even remotely controversial, so this article feels like a whole lot of nothing.

  3. They should race at 50 meters and call it a day. About as even as you’ll get. Lyles is the one who asserts that he’s here to lift up the profile of athletics. Well, he should do just that…against one of the most popular and accomplished players currently playing professional American football.

  4. Noah and media, the way to make track and field more popular definitely *is not* to just start societal beefs with other popular sports…

  5. KC Chiefs fan here. Tyreek is just a notorious shit talker. He’s talking shit to get publicity. He also said he could take Usain Bolt. Neither are true. He just likes talking shit and generating publicity.

He talks shit on everything. He’s said Tua is better than Mahomes among other things.

This should be a nothing burger.

  6. On one side I would not mind seeing them run against each other. But all this is too much negativity. Do a race for charity or something. And invite a couple other super fast folks from around sports.

  7. This is why I don’t like having pro athletes in the Olympics. The Olympics always had an air of class & friendly competition.

It wasn’t this kind of trash like we’re seeing with open arguments among supposedly grown adults who should know how to act respectful to each other.

It’s that kind of street tough mentality that has turned millions off from watching pro sports as well – we don’t want to see that in the Olympics either. Kids don’t need to see adults acting like this.

  8. Seems like a whole lot of nothing especially given that Lyles only really hates the NBA of course

  9. >So, if the race ever happens, we can surely see it for it to be a close one.

    No, we can not.
