Satellite images have shown that at least 250 military and paramilitary facilities are in range of Ukraine’s U.S.-supplied ATACMS.

  1. The Biden admin and the rest of Europe (except UK!) think they are being prudent by placing restrictions on the weapons, but it is quite risky and adds a lot of cost to the entire war.

  2. The longer we delay permission, the more painful we make this war for Ukraine.

Release the hounds already! Let them use Storm Shadow and ATACMS deep into Russia at this point. We are not only tying Ukraines hands behind their backs, but we are “shooting ourselves in the foot.” Make this war so much less costly on Ukraine by letting them knock out military airbases and ammo depots.

  3. I doubt it will be allowed.

That framing has at times angered senior officials in the White House who insist Washington has done more than any other country to help support Kyiv and that it shouldn’t have to risk its own national security for Kyiv. Officials in certain corners of the administration have told the Ukrainians that the U.S. will eventually want to reset relations with Moscow and lifting the restrictions could upend those efforts.

  4. The double standard seems ridiculous. Russia can hit Ukraine using foreign supplied armaments with impunity. Iranian drones, North Korean missiles and shells rain down upon Ukraine, daily.

  5. How many ATACMS are in Ukrainian hands then? Something tells me much less than 250. Some targets would need far more than 1 too. I would say just a few airfields and gbu storages are gonna take them all.

  6. If they are in range of ATACMS, doesn’t that also mean that they are in range of Storm Shadow, SCALP, and Ukraines own Neptune missile? Why was ATACMS singled out? No one is keeping Ukraine from using their own Neptune missiles that have a similar range as these others. Depending on where a plane launches Storm Shadow from, they could have a significantly longer range than any of these other missiles.

  7. 250 military facilities on the wall, ATCM 5 take them down 245 military facilities on the wall.

  8. Would be a master stroke to goad Russia into complacently bringing their resources within range while surreptitiously stocking Ukraine with enough missiles and launchers to decimate them.

  9. Give them 750 ATACMS and the green light. That should do it. Seriously, at this point Europe should empty their military warehouses, all that shit was built to fight Russia and if the Russian army is wiped off the face of the earth entirely, they won’t need it anyway.
