The problem with Nike and Barca is they not restocking jersey in stores, many jersey are delayed always because they have some issues making them on time, also nike has failed to market Barca merch specially in Asian markets where every others football teams jersey is easily available in competition brands smallest store.
That’s why you get to see so many people from Asian countries roam around wearing Madrid jersey as they are very accessible to them.
We can’t break the nike contract, we tried to break it and go to a court but the court denied us.
But nike still is sitting with us renegotiating because we are the biggest sports team for them. And losing us will make them look bad. Already Nike is considered luxurious sporting brand above adidas, puma etc and is driving customers away from them in not so economic stable countries.
Also the current jersey design is one of the best nike has made.
Hence it is not very easy to just go and jump ships.
If Barca wants to go and change nike then it can’t sit with Nike and renegotiate as the money nike gives currently is important as we don’t have camp nou open for high stable income.
