I dont know if this is common knowledge, but the government has a scheme currently running called the R100 scheme, it provides money to help everyone in Scotland access superfast broadband, particularly in rural and remote areas where broadband is limited or non-existent.
If you don't have access to fiber broadband the government should approve a voucher and you can get a Starlink kit for free with a 12-month discounted subscription.

Thanks for posting this however I feel that this won’t help me.
I’ve been promised 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2025 and now 2026.
I expect that they will claim that since there is an ‘estimate’ attached to my house, they will say no.
I’ve written to my local MSP about this several times. Ironic that it’s Michael Mathison, a man known for his love of a good Internet connection.
Good to know. Parts of the island I’m on still can’t get broadband or a mobile signal.
