3. I saw the video of the Amazon driver battling two would be thieves, Filmed by the customer. I remember thinking it’s only a matter of time till one of these guys is killed. My heart goes out to the victim and family. And God bless those who tried to help him.

10. UK has become dangerous to just go to work and do everyday things. Government need to wake up and look at root causes urgently. They owe the country who elected them to look after basic law and order

11. wtf is going on in Britain! The police are locking up people for posting on Facebook, when there are daily murders going on. Only yesterday, a young mother was stabbed to death on her way to work in Crawley by a homeless asylum seeker.

18. Amazon won’t have to pay anything out because they will claim he should not have attempted to tackle the thief and if he left the vehicle unlocked that would have been a sackable offence.

    There’s a reason why they pay zero tax. They know how to weasel there way out, just like insurance companies.

21. This is truly shocking, when a man doing his job is killed, it just sums up britain today. All we hear of is stabbings, murders, gun crime and shop raids. What's happening to this country. I can speculate as many others, but we are told 'crime is at its lowest'! Just who do they think they're kidding. It's worse than ever and we all know why. Deepest condolences to this man's family. This should never happen. It's tragic.

23. What a horrendous thing to happen i buy things ifc Amazon and theres about three different drivers that deliver to me they are all
    Prompt cheerful drivers so sorry to this man's family and Amazon its self ,stay safe.
    All the drivers need personnal alarms and to br instructed even if it wastes a few seconds, lock your van door it isnt worth diving in passenger side to stop them, your only going to get seriously injured or like this chap killed RIP driver.

30. This is more common than you think and the reason people do it is because it's only theft of a motor vehicle and 1 count of mail theft so they only get 12 months max when in fact they should be done for each individual person they stole from because that's who them parcels belong to.

36. Why if a British person is killed that is the first thing mentioned in an article and if the person who was killed in UK is from another country is no mention from which country the person was? We definitely have a fault in the system

39. Nobody is asking the big question. 60 years ago, a bobby patrolling would have seen this and the police responce immediate. We had a murder in Rotherham a few days ago, and another a few weeks ago, both high traffic areas. Why arent bobbies patrolling?

40. The murderes look to be British. Maybe they killed the poor man because they wanted jobs or extra money and there were no job vacancies at Amazon as foreigners stole their jobs. RIP
