Hi everyone, I have just been admitted to BTU in Cybersecurity master's degree and I am looking for accommodation in Cottbus.
I would like to understand better a few things regarding WG-gesucht website.
As far as i understood, whoever creates an ad to rent a place can decide what requirements people have to satisfy in order to be eligible, and I have encountered 3 of them:
1) Bewerbermappe: translation to italian doesn't make sense, it seems it's possible to require it from bewerbermappe.com but since everything is in german it's not really understandable what it is about.
2) SCHUFA or itsmydata: as far as i've understood it's to verify i don't have any debts in the past months. As i was never resident in germany the only option here is 'itsmydata'.
3) Mietzahlungsbestätigung: something I didn't understand at all.
Can you please give me some tips regarding how to look for accommodation? Is it worth to pay for these 3 documents? I thank you in advance a lot for the support.
