You just lived through the most humid summer on record

Fueled by human-caused climate change, the record humidity has made heat waves more dangerous and intensified downpours.

  1. “The United States and the entire planet are poised to clinch their most humid summer on record, scientists say. The sweltering conditions, which have pushed this year’s heat close to the limits of survivability in some areas and fueled flooding downpours, are part of a long-term increase in humid heat driven by human-caused climate change.”

  2. And there is no mechanism for cooling on the 100 year horizon.

Just hope the bugs don’t die.

  3. Look on the bright side. This is one of the least humid summers that any of us will see for the rest of our lives.

  4. The swings between heavy rains & drought are wild, in central NC all the lakes are still a bit overfilled from flooding, while the streams dry up & crops die. Still averaging a fairly normal amount of rain, but we aren’t built to go 3 weeks without rain in between storms.
