19. Indians would do well not to fall for cheap tricks by politicians on either side, but look deeper at policy level. Just because someone is of Indian origin need not necessarily be an advantage for India or NRIs. Kamala proudly panders to her black heritage and hasn't really invoked her Indian roots ever since being nominated. Policywise Donald Trump makes more sense. Since he will prune illegal immigration and Indians give or take will be the greatest beneficiaries of a legal immigration process. our remittances are the highest in the world and US is the biggest source country. All this is mostly through legal immigration. Also, conservative American values – faith, family, freedom (even in markets) pander greatly to the Indian community since it means a mostly law abiding country instead of a country in a perennial mess. Lesser wars also is good for commerce and India being a huge economy is among the biggest beneficiaries. DT keeping China and Russia in check while not going to wars with them would be to India's advantage. At the same time there are good chances that countries wouldn't dare invade other countries under DT`s watch. Policy coherence and clarity…and not just fringe and activist issues such as lgbtq++ and climate change hyperbole…is greater in DT`s camp. He will also be hard on terrorist elements…esp Islamic and Iranian proxies…which India too has suffered much. Also last time there was much camaraderie, although like with everyone else you can expect DT to be a tough negotiator…but the friendship was unmistakable unlike in case of Obama or even Biden.
