  1. If you google your name you’ll likely find yourself on one of them online phone book websites. One of them had my name, address, email and last 4 digits of my number for non-subscribers. Took them about 3 days to take it down when I put the request in on their website.

  2. There are plenty of places where your name, number, email, etc. can be sold. Pass onto the police and move on with your life (for however long that will be).

  3. I know who that is – The only person in the history of the world to use the term ‘Greetings’ – its Joey Boswell off Bread

  4. Just think of those countless poor souls that died because their spam filter hid this nice man’s email.

  5. Luckily they said the name on the email is their name. They made it nice and easy to report them.

  6. I’d just say your funeral and delete it but you do you.

In all seriousness it’s a scam and nonsense. Just report.

  7. I mean, hitmen go for over 10k these days; so unless your friends have that kind of cabbage to spread on your ending, I’d just report it.

  8. Hi another hitman here. Pay me £499 and I will do in the other hitman.I have his address, phone number, NHS number, NI number, mothers maiden name, bank details and I know his mates down at the pub.

  9. “Won’t see sunlight again”. Just say you are from Manchester, so you weren’t planning on seeing it anyway.

  10. It looks like a 10 year old wrote it… I wouldn’t worry. Just contact the police

  11. The “thanks” at the end gets me 💀

Also you don’t deserve to have your life cut “shorts”

  12. You don’t need to do anything. Report it if you want, but otherwise don’t worry about it.

The fact is that everyone’s personal information is out there waiting to be found. Data leaks from incompetent tech companies (basically all of them) are a fact of life now and if you have ever put that information into a website, it is almost certainly publicly available. There’s nothing you can do about it, but as long as you are paying proper attention to your financial assets like bank accounts, there’s also not a great deal to worry about.
