Moment undercover Israeli police open fire on Hamas West Bank commander
The Israeli military said Border Police forces had killed Wassem Hazem, who it said was the head of Hamas in Jenin and was involved in shooting and bombing attacks in the Palestinian territory.
Car and helmet camera footage released by the Israeli police showed one vehicle pulling up to another with an ensuing firefight, during which police said undercover officers killed Hazem.
Two other Hamas gunmen who tried to escape the car they were all traveling in were killed by a drone, police said.
Weapons, explosives and large sums of cash were found in the vehicle, it said.
