Serhii Zhadan, famous Ukrainian writer, musician and serviceman reported that on Friday, August 30th.

"Today, during a strike on Kharkiv, Nika Kozhushko died – very young, sincere and gifted. An hour before her death, she sent her new drawing. That is, her last drawing. Russians continue destroying our future. There is no explanation for that. And there is no forgiveness, as well," Zhadan wrote.

  2. This hit pretty hard. Lost for words really. I thinkl part of me died today. Sorry really high rn. Russia is trying to rip the soul out of Ukraine and humanity. The epitome of humanity choked out. RIP Veronika.

    # FUCK RUSSIA!

  3. This is the thing that hits me the hardest. Russia sends its worst, and destroys Ukraine’s best.

And that includes all the men and women who have been forced to take up arms to defend themselves and their country; personally, I can’t mentally differentiate between Ukrainian civilians and soldiers in this war.

It is so hard to sit in my own skin when I hear news like this because it just makes me feel so awful: fury, frustration, despair, vengeful and absolute grief for all that Ukraine is losing and at all the stupidity, selfishness, lack of foresight, and ignorance in the world that is holding us back from doing what needs to be done. What kind of a future can Ukraine have if it loses so many of its best and brightest?

I hope to see the russian empire collapse, so that it can NEVER do this again.

  4. To think she’s only one in the tens of thousands of civilians killed by the Russian invasion.

What a tragedy of awful proportions.

  5. The last picture reminded me a lot of the game “This war of mine”, which is unfortunately rather apt.

  6. NATO, close the skies! This has been embarrassing for us civilians in NATO-nations for too long.

  7. There is now simply no excuse to tie one of the hands of the Ukrainian military behind their backs while they fight the barbarous, corrupt inhuman Russians and Putin. The Russians understand nothing but brute force. Always have, always will. Time to give the Ukrainians everything they need to defeat the Russians now and stop drip feeding and trying not to offend Putin. This beautiful girls death is on all western leaders who are slowly strangling the Ukrainians.

  8. I don’t know how this year is going to end. But I hope next year ends with a world where there is no “Russia” marked on any maps.

  9. Bless her,may she rest in heavenly peace 🌹another beautiful person took way to soon 🌹Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦🇬🇧

  10. As an American, we need to stop with the ridiculous red lines and let Ukraine fight their war, damnit.
