I believe Brimstone is used exclusively by SSO (Ukrainian special forces), so it’s rare we get footage.
Also includes some drone drops.
Lots of switching between day and night in this
The Brimstone has a pretty interesting “mad dog” mode.
In this mode, the missile will seek out targets at its own discretion in a set area, looking for either specific target types (MBT/Erector Launch Vehicle/IFV… ), or picking a target of opportunity, using its AI and target database.
This mode was a result of the assumption that soviet armored pushes would have too heavy air defence for the parent aircraft to loiter and designate targets.
As for terminal effects, the Brimstone 2 and 3 use Multi Purpose Tandem HEAT warheads, much the same as the Romeo warhead for the Hellfire. The original Brimstone warhead was not MP in its design, and the “low collateral damage” design worked a little too well, resulting in very low performance against soft targets.
Blast and Fragmentation with Airburst, Structure/Wall penetration, and armor defeat with flat or top-attack pattern.
The it was just trying to stand firewatch on the ammo conex box, but it and it got blown the fuck up
