PS: none of the movie reviews from Turks actually talk about the movie itself. They talk about the usual “Greek genocide of Turks in Cyprus” and how this is a propaganda movie.

Προσωπικα χωρις να πω οτι ειδα την πολλα προσεχτικα ή οτι ειδα ολοκληρη τη σειρα, θεωρω οτι εν μια μετρια προς κακη σειρα που σωζεται στο γεγονος οτι βασιζεται σε “πραγματικες” ιστοριες. Απογοητευτικα αρκετα με την επιλογη να χρησιμοποιουν ελληνικη γλωσσα τζαι φατσαρει εντελως αφυσικο καποια πραματα να συμβαινουν τζαι να χρησιμοποιουνται ελληνικες φρασεις που ποττε εν θα ακουσουμε στην Κυπρο, ως “φυσικες” αντιδρασεις των πρωταγωνιστων. Παραλληλα θεωρω οτι καποια που τα liberties που επιασαν σκηνοθετικα, εν με βρισκουν ιδιαιτερα συμφωνο, ουτε το το “love story” που εν παντα στο background. Για μενα εν μια σειρα του 4-5/10 που επειδη εσχει σχεση με συγχρονη ιστορια τζαι γεγονοτα πολλα συναισθηματικα φορτισμενα. Ξαναλαλω οτι εν καθαρα αποψη μου τζαι εν που καποιον που ειδε σποραδικα επεισοδια.
Ομως το review bombing εν εσχει καμια σχεση με το εργο ως εργο τζαι εν μεγαλο το λαθος του netflix/imdb/whatever να μεν εσχει επιλογη να αφαιρεσεις τουτα τα ψευτικα reviews που οϊ μονο εν εχουν καμια σχεση με το εργο, αλλα βασιζουνται τζαι πανω σε ψεματα. Πρεπει κατι να γινει για να φιλτραρουνται εχτος των κανονικων reviews.
Δεν είναι το καινούργιο αυτό, βγήκε πριν κάτι μήνες, σωστά;
Of what I saw (2-3 episodes) I think it’s med to bad (ffs, they hire Cypriot actors and make them speek kalamaristika? – and only a few old actors speak Cypriot?). Also of what I heard it becomes more of a drama than a history show
I learned it became a Netflix show on KibrisPostasi that chose a very shocking title to say this(sth like “Inconceivable(not this word): Show that claims there is occupation in Cyprus” ~ I don’t remember the title exactly-if anyone saw lmk – of what I see they changed it, some ppl in the comments made fun of it I think). Glad I saw comments reacting to this.
Crazy these were the reactions though, Tatar and Ustel are clowns but the Ministry of FA of Turkey tweeted about this lol.
Edit: Also it’s a show that nobody would watch. All these reactions and the ban of the tv show may at least bring some viewers to it
The mental gymnastics of Turks are at gold medal level.
Just think how many Turkish productions show Greeks or Byzantium as the bad guys….
