  1. **She is only 17….Just a few facts….**

“Sheetal Devi (born 2007) is an Indian para-archer. She was born with a rare medical condition called phocomelia, causing her to be born without arms. She is the first and only female international para-archery champion without upper limbs.”

***”Sheetal began her archery career at the age of 15 years.”***

“Sheetal began her archery career at the age of 15 years. **With just 11 months of preparation,** Sheetal competed in the 2022 Asian Para Games in the women’s compound bow category, winning two gold medals and one silver”

“Devi’s achievements include a gold medal at the Asian Para Games 2023 and a silver at the Para-Archery World Championship 2023, enabling her to qualify for the Paris Paralympics.21 hours ago”

  2. I was thinking yesterday how wild it is that we get so many para archers missing both arms. Like, I know this is a skewed sample size and all, but just in terms of numbers:

How many people in the world are missing both arms? An even smaller number get into archery at all. An even smaller number are any good at it, let alone this level of good. So even the fact we get this many archers is wild to me.
