Ukraine F-16 crashes, pilot dies repelling Russian strike • FRANCE 24 English
One of Ukraine’s F-16 fighter jets crashed while repelling a major Russian attack on Monday, Kyiv’s military said, the first such loss reported since the long-awaited arrival of the U.S.-made planes this month. The jet came down and its pilot died while it was approaching a Russian target, the Ukrainian General Staff said on Thursday on Facebook.

Crash? Next week the story will change to "friendly fire" incident. After that some more bs and finally they will quietly tell us it was actually …. um …. shot down.
I love how as soon as these news got out, Ukraine says the pilot died repelling a Russian airstrike and the US lays out a statement that it must be because of a pilot error. The absolute nerve to state something like that is so typical to say by an American. Shameless, but still a statement with subtle trickery – a statement made so that no one could argue that the F-16s aren't effective. Cause after all, from an American stand point, if the F-16s are so effective, there's no need to give Ukraine what they really need and give it now, and in the meantime, their objective to prolong the war is still in line.

Regardless of what caused it, the sad truth is that a Ukrainian F-16 crashed and the pilot did not survive. Ukrainian F-16 pilots are few and far between.
Everyone knew things like this were going to happen in the fog of war. The plane is indeed a loss, but losing a pilot is a much, much greater loss. ❤ R.I.P.

We all know what actually happened. Russian shovel hid in the plane and assassinated the pilot mid flight. But Ukraine and US don't want to raise panic so they will never admit it.
