  1. >Nike added that the new, vertical swoosh is ‘to show the upwards rise, togetherness and acceleration of women’s football’.

    Saved you a click.

  2. If you look at it unbiased and forget about the normal way being horizontal, it’s actually not bad

  3. I was skeptical at first but after seeing the kits being worn I kinda like it. Helps if the jerseys those “upright swooshes” are on look a little different to what we’re used from Nike.

  4. It’s ruined an otherwise nice kit imo. It just looks like a mistake. They’ve probably just done it because they know people will talk about it.

  5. “The new Nike logo was made to celebrate the women’s game” Nike is literally the greek GODDESS of sport lol

  6. Its a symbol for the upwards rise of women football. Which I totally agree with seeing the coverage women game is getting these days.

  7. Because footballers spend more time on the floor than on their feet. This way, the logo is the right way round more often.

  8. Directly from the article that you provided.

Nike have changed their logo on third kits to celebrate women’s football and have explained the decision in a social media statement.

‘Unveiling The 2024/25 Club third kit collection, Together We Rise, built to celebrate the women’s game from grassroots to greatness,’ Nike posted on Instagram.

Nike added that the new, vertical swoosh is ‘to show the upwards rise, togetherness and acceleration of women’s football’.

  9. Because Nike are desperate to make more money and they think fans will lap up the tick looking slightly different.

Looks ridiculous. I’d give one of my nuts for my club to start using adidas again!
