Sweden sounds alarm over Russian oil tankers | Focus on Europe

Security officials report that hundreds of tankers are traveling from St. Petersburg to India or China. Putin is apparently circumventing Western sanctions by navigating his oil shipments past the Swedish island of Gotland. Residents feel threatened.

  8. Why is this lady speaking as if Sweden would be the only one defending Gotland? They literally made a NATO Lake out of the Baltic. Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, and Denmark are there too 🤦🏻‍♂️

  13. Until and unless Sweden is affected by these ships- they should not be used as pawns for NATO, unless they want to be a willing partner in attacking Russia. Biden was not wise, when he refused to pay attention to Putin’s concern about NATO incursion in Ukraine, at its doorstep. Now we know that his brain is not functioning as a wise leader. He is ousted from his leadership. We need wise leaders in Europe with strong spine to take care of their own wellbeing as they share the same continent unlike America. Hegemony has its limit when people stand up against coercion.

And nobody talks about how china also has huge oil tankers and mobile oil drilling and refining ships, meaning that both countries could increase their trade, because China isn't on the list but with their practices and Dictatorship they would definitely help Putin. China could send their ships instead to Russia and take the Oil back. Don't let this go under the radar.

  21. The west has been extremely naive about national security issues. Even now, we are forced to make certain concessions because previous administrations made horrible idiotic decisions like Nord Stream pipelines. China is another example of how naive the west is to countries that use us and believe us to be enemies. China is using us for economic, technological, and trade advantages that us all. Once they gain what they want which they have it is over for industries like automobiles.

He is going to steal all the good people and the West will stuck with the bottom of the bucket…I remember one US congressman asked the head of the joint chiefs about stopping those Russian tankers, the General basicilly said that is called war. There are no sactions under BRICS…

  29. What no one says is that the amount of oil that the world can produce is finite and it is not possible to cancel Russia, this oil goes to India for them to resell to Europe for a premium price.

  34. Have the Swedes and the Germans lost their minds? Russia attacking Sweden is an idiotic, hysterical fantasy. Continuing to push Russia closer and closer to nuclear war? Thats a real threat to everybody and the Swedes.
