I’d love to from people that do this, what unsurprising things happen?
Do people leave money? Take the whole thing?
And why is it more common in some places than not?
When I lived in North West London they were there all the time. But some places in London I’d never see them…

For me Calamity Jane
I’ve already got Drop Dead Fred on DVD so I’m going for Bruce Almighty.
I can’t see Taken or Man on fire, was that Taken too?
I’ve not seen Bruce Almighty, so probably that.
I like the one on the top in the second picture but it looks like it’s taken

Uncle Buck.
Uncle Buck all day long
To answer some of your questions –
No, I doubt people would leave money. a) it’s clear these are free and b) I imagine a subsequent person would take the money.
Take the whole thing? Can only say for round my way, but no, I don’t think anyone would take the lot.
I suspect what has happened is the owner has had a bit of a clear out and popped some DVDs aside for taking to the charity shop… weeks ago, and their other half/inner critic has nagged them to get rid, so out the front they go!
It sometimes depends on the geography of the area as to how successful these ‘leave out’ things are. Where I live it’s a cut through for cars and pedestrians so you’d get a fair audience and nothing would be out for more than a day.
But the ‘takers’ can vary. Last summer I left out a stand fan. I’d cleaned it, wrapped the plug end, left it nice for anyone wanting to take it, it was working perfectly I just didn’t have the room. A few hours later when walking the dog I saw it obliterated in a playing field, it’d evidently been stomped on by some feral cunts who took it upon themselves to do free vandalism and flytipping. Bloody infuriating.
Also was upgrading my kitchen set so I had two bar stools and a small table, couple of hours later my neighbour across the hallway tells me of this free stuff he’s just picked up! If only we’d talked earlier it would have saved us lugging the stuff down and then back up the flight of stairs to the flats!
Free Willy 2 – Willy Rising.
Flip a coin for Ferris Buller or uncle buck 2 absoule classics
On a side note, we all need to get back to watching DVDs. Steaming and subscriptions are a con, and DVDs are either free, given away, or pennies to buy these days.
the devil wears prada for sure
Torn between About a Boy and the Breakfast Club. Both good soundtracks.
Devil Wears Prada, every day of the week
The Devil Wears Prada.
My gf loves it for the fashion and I love it because of Emily Blunt.
Calamity Jane! It’s never on streaming services for free, Drop Dead Fred is on Netflix atm!
