  1. So, just a thought. Imagine a fast drone flying just above your mate. He gets dumped on some stuipid amount of white phosphorus or napalm and the drone just fucks off for resupply while your mate stopped screaming since his vocal cords melted.

  2. I would like to see them use it to draw a giant fiery dick and balls in the center of Moscow.

  3. I’m ex infantry. I’m now an engineer and have seen thermite used. The idea of one of those with thermal vision coming over at night… I think dropping grenades on folks is done. Thermite is cheap to make.

  4. My chief concern is that they’re burning cover over positions they presumably intend to take. They won’t have the cover they defoliated.

  5. I know it isn’t the main prerogative here, but goddamn humanity sucks. For the duration of this war, I can’t help but feel bad for the flora and fauna. Every time I see one of these tree lines blasted, I feel bad for the wildlife in there trying to get by. It all has to be done because of some tyrannical asshole. Fuck Russia. Go Ukraine.

  6. I think this addresses any lingering doubts over whose drone this is (Russians were posting the earlier vids and claiming it was one of theirs)

  7. As interesting as it is, watching drones, as a new weapon, being worked out and developed in real time, this is one iteration I wish they could put back in the box. If it was only available to burn Russians out of Ukrainian tree lines, I’d be ok with it. But this is now available the whole world over, and it will never be un-invented.

  8. How come Ukraine doesn’t use these with the mass rushes where Russia sends dozens of troops? Ukraine could burn areas and use artillery to cover the open spots.

  9. This makes me wonder… Could you put a mini flame thrower on one of these drones? Like a lighter-fluid sized canister and little narrow flaming stream with a sticky napalm-like substance.

I feel like that would be more effective at burning these soft targets that have a bit of moisture soaked into them? Or maybe im just underestimating the strength of those little burning thermite chunks.
