  1. The Russians should have known that when the US says’saty away’ they mean’stay away’.

  2. It has been happening quite a bit since beginning of the war. Mostly though it’s been with guided shells. I believe both sides have made use of 152mm Krasnopol or similar laser guided shells. Nowadays Ukraine would probably use 155mm SMArt for such tasks. Hitting moving vehicles with unguided shells is fairly unlikely if you’re low on ammo and cannot task entire batteries to cover the target zone.

  3. With the older Russian tanks, usually the turret is blown off with bodies parts blown into the air.

    The crew is lucky to be alive and it was not a guided missile with a shaped charge.
