Bayesian superyacht captain ‘investigated for manslaughter’ after tragic sinking
ITALIAN prosecutors have reportedly opened a manslaughter probe into the captain of the Bayesian superyacht over the deaths of seven people on board.
James Cutfield, 51, from New Zealand, is being investigated for manslaughter and shipwreck, La Repubblica and Corriere della Sera said.

There is another YouTube video where an experienced captain says there are never enough crew on these luxury yachts (only 3 sailing crew in this case), their quarters are tiny (as the billionnaires want maximim space for themselves and their guests), and the crew don't get enough sleep as they are so few to watch round the clock. Sounds as though this whole "luxury yacht" thing is untenable.
Whilst it’s lovely to have wreaths laid for those who lost their lives, may they rest in peace, but can we stop putting things into the sea that will harm sea life. Those things have woven wires in that will be seriously harmful to sea life. Lay them on the promenade or create an area where people can gather and remember and leave wreaths and flowers safely. It’s the same with balloons. People need to stop.

Investigated??? Captain & Crew alive and passengers dead. The yacht sunk capsizing on starboard and all passengers died locked in cabins on portside. No tender no liferaft. Those are professional killers! What Investigation, what force mageour???

How course the Italians are protecting the Italian shipyard, and trying to make the crew guilty. But if this boat is claimed as unsinkable by the builder why it stinked and the other boats not ? The true is the Design is so extreme (retractable keel), that comes to tricky situation when the accident can happen rapidly. Finally the Design of this boat was not safe enough. Similar as for a plane: there are at least 2 safety loops. Here : 0, moreover it was a dangerous boat. Italians should not be in charge of the investigation

Why was the yacht designed with deep stair wells in the side decks which would allow tons of water into the saloon when heeling at a moderate angles with the deck under water that often happens when sailing hard?
