  1. I ADORE how Kemp’s IMMEDIATE response when asked by a reporter last night about “What steps and policies will be looked at to stop this type of thing,” was “DUUUURRRR NOT TIME FOR DIS STOOOOOOOOPID POLICY TALK ONLY TIME NOW FER THOUGHTS AN PRAY THINK AN PRAY.”

  2. Yalls’ “ban guns” argument never works. Why should the government and military be the only special entity to have it? Do we really put so much trust in them ?The whole point of this country was to create equalness and to move away from the monarchial systems of Europe

It’s very simple…if the military and government have it so should the ordinary citizen (obviously many things like fighter jets, nukes etc are a different story altogether ) but common weapons like rifles etc must be allowed …this is a basic principle of liberty unless you hate that and you prefer an authoritarian state that can just bully you?

    >If we are to apply that stupid logic, then alot of other things should be banned:

Let’s ban supercars then that go over 200 mph…there no need for it really speaking? That speed is illegal…many high-speed reckless crashes happen as a result – why no one complains about this

Let’s ban Boeing, they have deadly accidents occasionally thanks to errors… how about we ban all planes then? Why did no one complain about this?

No one complains because we don’t suddenly punish everyone for isolated incidents

But when it comes to guns…why yall be jumping with a hooded agenda?

There are millions of gun owners who didn’t do anything wrong, so why should all of them lose their rights thanks to a few maniacs

**You have a problem with the 2A … there is a process for the introduction and ratification of a new amendment to repeal it [you more likely to eat a big mac on the sun then ever see it repealed]**

Also an Ar15 is not classified assault rifle by law …true assault rifles are incredibly expensive and require a lengthy fbi/atf process ,also there hasn’t been a single murder attributed to a true assault rifle ,,,get yalls facts straight

  3. “Mental health” is just something they hide “THE GUNS” behind. Trying to dodge the simple logic of “can’t have a shooting without a gun”.

  4. Quoth Jim of the house Jeffries:

“THIS IS MY PROTECTION CHAINSAW! I KEEP IT TO PROTECT MY FAMILY! YOU’LL BE GLAD IM HERE IF A BAD GUY WITH A CHAINSAW WALKS IN! THE ONLY WAY TO STOP A BAD GUY WITH A CHAINSAW IS A GOOD GUY WITH A CHAINSAW!”

  5. I am about as anti-gun as it gets. Ban all of them for all I care – they’re are used to kill, we shouldn’t need them in 2024. I do, however, also hate how some on the left downplay the mental health side of all of this as well. Our society is broken. Kids are lost and struggling. Parents are stressed to the max and aren’t able to parent properly. This is a duel issue in my mind: guns need to go (at least AR style death machines) and we need to take a long look in the mirror as a society and start prioritizing our children, our families and our mental health.

  6. Our school district in TX has decided to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars a year on school Marshall’s.

Wouldn’t this money be better spent on metal detectors?

Good guys with guns don’t respond until bad guys with guns start shooting and sometimes, like Uvalde, that doesn’t even happen.

  7. It is a mental health issue in that Republican gun nuts are all fucking psycho nutjobs

  8. So glad we’re talking about this again ON THE LITERAL FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR MY 8 year old 😡🤦🏻

    Harris/Walz 2024!

  9. This country does not believe in preventative care which is why this problem will never have a solution.

  10. Simple. Providing mental health services would require raising taxes. “Thoughts and prayers” are free.

You get what you pay for.

  11. Sure, it’s not guns, it’s mental health. That explains why every other country, with laws against guns, doesn’t have school shootings every year without fail. Who could have predicted that allowing anyone and everyone who wants a gun in the US would lead to this? /s

It’s certainly not depressing that this will continue to happen regularly until we finally figure out that in fact, the problem IS the ridiculous lack of virtually any restrictions on owning guns in the US! /s

  12. Democrats: Let’s fund [Solution] to [Problem 1]

Republicans: No! That’s socialism! The real problem isn’t even [Problem 1]! It’s [Problem 2]! We need to fix [Problem 2]!”

Democrats: Let’s fund [Solution] to [Problem 2] then!

    Republicans: No! That’s socialism!

ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND AND ROUND

Republicans exist solely to further enrich the rich. They have no intention of ever helping an actual human being who needs help. They don’t care about me, they don’t care about you, and they sure as shit don’t care about our country.

  13. They don’t want guns taken from the mentally ill, because then they’d have to take the guns away from themselves

  14. I really did not miss these back-and-forths. It really is the same tired conversation over and over and over. Children are dying, and we’re just caught in a loop. Pathetic.

  15. They are owned by the nra they don’t give a shit about mental health or human lives they just can’t criticriticize the real problem

  16. “A good guy with a gun kills a bad guy with a gun” that is unless the bad guys kill’s him first. In which case he now has an additional gun. 🤔 not saying I’m anti gun, just saying more guns don’t fix the problem. Hell this happened in GA where 49.2% of citizens are armed based on 2021 statistics from CBS poll. That’s basically 1 in 2, but the guy who took him out was a Law Enforcement Resource Officer. So maybe we just need to hire more police or use National Guard to help protect our schools since Republicans aren’t willing to budge on gun control. Unpopular opinion NOT EVERYONE should have the right to bare arms, just like not everyone has the right to a Drivers License.
