  1. If the corrupt supreme court was able to delay the case the least we could do is let the american people see the evidence and judge trump for themselves.

  2. She emphasized that this trial is apolitical and, thus, election day doesn’t influence the schedule. Well put.

  3. Trump’s only hope is Project 2025, and it has a real chance of happening if we stay passive

  4. Considering how James Comey fucked us by insisting the world needed to know about a (pointless) investigation into Hillary Clinton in 2016, you’d think the *actual evidence* in a *real criminal case* against a former president would be, you know, something people should see.

  5. [Here’s the order](https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149/gov.uscourts.dcd.258149.233.0_2.pdf)

Basically it stays all pre-trial proceedings and begins a briefing schedule to determine several things, including whether an evidentiary hearing is warranted.

Still a ton of unknowns, and the public *might* see new evidence before the election, but that’s far from certain.

If it comes to an evidentiary hearing, that will probably fall after the election – but assuming Trump loses – it will get the ball rolling again and hopefully resolve this immunity issue in a somewhat-timely fashion so that we can get back to scheduling for the actual trial.

  6. Have to wonder if this will matter to his diehard supporters. Seems like they have bought into everything against him being a witch-hunt, so I doubt it.

  7. Crazy that we’re even debating or discussing this! IT’S SHOULD BE A NO BRAINER! America, do better!

  8. > Trump’s defense team had sought to delay the public release of evidence in the case until after the November election.

I wonder if the same people who decry the existence of early voting specifically because *voters shouldn’t cast their ballots until they have every last bit of insight into who they vote for* will think of that.

  9. Oh wow. Didn’t expect this to occur. Seems like we could get something sooner than later.

And if all goes well, who knows what else could happen. In a good way.

Good job Jack Smith, and Justice Curran. Keep up the good work.

  10. It’s not about swing voters it’s about those who might vote versus who might not given the knowledge of what the former president did or did not do

  11. He just admitted he lost “by a whisker”… I mean… that’s game set and match, no???  What are we even doing?

  12. So let’s say he gets convicted and sentenced. Will the judge be able to consider him a repeat offender now since he’s now a convicted felon and take that into consideration for his sentencing? Maybe he could finally get jail time since he probably won’t for the hush money case.
