  1. This years El Niño cycle was “only” the fourth strongest on record, and quite short lived, and yet global temperatures still blew 2016’s very strong El Niño out of the water. Quite spooky how our planet’s rapid and extreme heating has seemingly overpowered the temperature variation from the ENSO cycle.

  2. It’s alarming to see these record-breaking temperatures for two years in a row. It really underscores the urgency of addressing climate change and taking action to protect our planet.
