  1. So the alter stone likely came from the Scottish mainland, rather than Orkney? If anything, seems less weird, if it meant they didn’t need to transport it across water.

  2. Why not sample a range of outcrops and see which matches.

  3. It was built as a landing platform for flying saucers that never came.
