1. That Italy goal from last night is absolutely insane.

   What’s going on with football – we just never see goals like this anymore IMO.

   It’s early, perhaps my brain isn’t quite going properly…. But it got me thinking.

   What’s your favourite Bayern goal of the last couple of seasons?

   We just don’t really score so many pretty goals anymore. There was a period of years we were scoring goals that I’d freak out over every few weeks.

2. Just wanted to share an inspirational story from my national team (Romania).

   Last night marked the triumphant return (3-0 against Kosovo, no Germany, but no slouch either) of our most decorated coach – Mircea Lucescu – after years of winning domestic and european trophies in Ukraine, Russia and Turkey. This happened after 38 years: his first stint as our national coach was from 1981 to 1986.

   Watching his press conference after the game and seeing the passion, determination and happiness he exuded put a smile on my face.

   Oh and he is 79, I think this makes him the oldest high level national coach in the world.
