  1. Excellent event all around though, javelin’s impressive and athletes are always extra after they hit a score. Air punches and all.

  2. I onow what he is physically doing in the gesture. But what does it mean or what does he mean it to be?

Seems like it could fit a lot of meanings without context.

  3. Yall get sensitive over everything….said most Europeans and non-Black americans during the BLM protests 🤣🤣

  4. As a former religious zealot and missionary, I can imagine giving up a gold medal for the opportunity to proclaim my faith.

We also had a throat slitting motion but we reserve that for rituals in a temple and we were referring to killing ourselves if we revealed elements of the sacred rituals.

If he has the same mindset that I did when I was faithful, he is perfectly happy with the result. He has gained maximum reward from his actions both emotionally/spiritually and will continue to get plaudits from his community.

  5. Good, the Olympics is a celebration of athleticism not political agendas.

Best recent example would be Nth and Sth Korea on the podium taking selfies together.
