  1. Nah, hate is a strong word. We occasionally point and laugh, and a bit of obligatory pisstaking during the 6 nations, you’re overthinking it mate.

Might be a small (though occasional quite vocal I suppose) minority who keep banging on about history, the rest of us don’t take them seriously, neither should you.

In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that if you’re encountering serious anti-English sentiment from Irish people I’d put money on them bring American cosplayers.

  2. My mates from NI are like ah the fuken english uuuggggghhh the english uggggggghhhhhhhh.. Meanwhile the english I know are lovely.

  3. The ‘Irish’ Hate towards the UK is just Am*ricans trying to have a sense of culture.

England and Ireland today do not care or think about eachover at all.

  4. I like Ireland. I think most of us do. The are you two friends meme would have been more applicable imo.

  5. We made Barry afraid to go to the pub. There’s very few holds you can have over a nation like that.

  6. Just a reminder that the population of Ireland is 5.1 million. There are 979,000 members of r/Ireland.

A lot of Yanks cosplaying as Irish there. And here, actually.
