  6. Why would they be complacent when by reasonable metrics, Harris is losing?

    It’s essentially a statistical tie, and we know based on years of polling that the polls are on average +2 in error for the Democrats, and because of electoral college demographics, Trump only needs 47% of the vote to win (as he did in 2016.) Harris needs to be up 5 points in the polls to win, realistically.
