Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will face each other in the second debate of the US presidential campaign. The event marks Kamala’s first live TV debate as the Democratic presidential nominee, while this will be Trump’s second of the year.

  15. Politics is not only a competition between ideas and programs, but also a showdown between social camps. Trump is completely clear about the identity with which he comes to the arena: an American patriot who claims the lost pride of America, which in his view is being lost under the rule of the Democrats. He will talk about the loss of the American dream due to the rising cost of living, immigrants taking advantage of the system, and foreign and anti-American influences, from DEI ideologies to "Hamas supporters" on American campuses. Instead, Harris will try to position herself as All American as possible – middle class, self-made, "ordinary woman" (as opposed to the "weird" Trump) who loves Aretha Franklin and makes bacon for her nieces on Sunday mornings.
