The loss of the Old North (Yr Hen Ogledd) is still romanticised in some circles in Wales.
Cumbria has a few small groups/orgs on preserving/reviving the brythonic aspects of their culture. There’s even a reconstruction of the old Cumbric language floating about. Cumbria still remains ethnically distinct from most of what is now administered as England to this day.
