I have a romanian girlfriend and we participated in a few panel discussions years ago at university (around 10 years ago now).
She had quite a few laughts in them, while discussing western tweens, who still argued for things like socialism (even communism), argued that russia wasn’t that bad regardings its satellite states and so on.
Sadly, western europeans have in part absolutely ridiculous ideas regarding Russia still. Central Europe and the East have their experience, the West often just has rose painted glasses.
