[Samuel Luckhurst] Teammates feel Casemiro’s decline at ManUtd has come as a consequence of the club’s own struggles. Dressing room sources say Casemiro “didn’t sign up” for a second season to attempt to qualify for the Champions League which proved to be beyond United last term.

  1. And we “didn’t sign up” to him moving like he’s stopped off at the Pizza Hut buffet before the game.

  2. What does that even mean? I didn’t sign up to try to achieve greatness? I am just here to pull a paycheck? Crazy.

  3. Man U was his retirement plan. The man had already won everything that can be won with a great team like RM. He was approaching the end of his shelf life at RM. Man U gave him a fat paycheque for basically hanging out and winning nothing with that terrible team of theirs and he was like yeah why not.

  4. He “signed up” because the salary was stupid and all he saw was dolla dolla bills. If he thought this was going to be different/easy he should have googled what was going on at united. It wasn’t a secret.

  5. This makes no sense. So he’s playing shit because we aren’t in the champions league??

  6. Why does it feel like the problems at Utd are glaringly obvious to everyone on earth apart from those involved with the club?

Don’t get me wrong it’s funny watching them fail year on year after the Fergie/Howard Webb era and their entitled fans finally getting what they’ve always deserved but as a club they are one of the biggest in the world, the incompetence is ludicrous.

  7. Man United is a Big 6 club with the most league titles in its history. Did he really see it as a retirement option?

Imagine you are Kobbie Mainoo, a teenager with big dreams and touted to be the next Scholes/Gerrard…and you play beside a guy who thinks that way.

  8. Who are these “sources” ? I detest players who leak nonsense to the media. They need to get binned off immediately.

Having said that, Casemiro needs binning.

  9. I don’t think Man Utd signed up for a £300k a week has-been either.

Edit: fair enough, I guess that’s exactly what they signed up for 😂

  10. I think the source is bs but the message isn’t exactly wrong. Casemiro isn’t a holding midfielder anymore. He’s still capable going forward but he’s not the tackler he once was.

  11. He might not have signed up for it, but the club tried to sell him this summer and he didn’t seem to be particularly interested in helping them find a suiter.
