Loved these old computers back in the 90s. Been sitting in a box for a long time.

Now I can play Lemmings and Dizzy again! (Eric Frogsworth can watch).

What else is worth buying for it?

  1. You should get Frontier: Elite 2.

I played hundreds of hours of that on my Amiga back in the day.

  2. I’m more impressed you still have a TV that can take the scart connection or whatever it is.

  3. Silkworm was a good shooting scroller, same as Blood Money. The Great Giana sisters was just like Mario and Pong

  4. Sensible Soccer, and/or Kick Off.

If you hate yourself track down the Street Fighter 2 port. The 6-button control scheme does not translate well to a 1-button joystick, and my memory is that the frame rate was terrible too. It’s still impressive seeing Ryu and Blanka on the Amiga though.

Edit: Speedball 2 was awesome back in the day.

Edit2: Flashback and Another World looked incredible at the time, but I don’t  think the gameplay has aged well at all.

  5. I occasionally play Amiga games on my Linux machine through UAE; you can do the same on Windows with WinUAE.

Speedball 2 and IK+ come to mind. Populous 2 and Powermonger too. Mostly play for the nostalgia, tbh!

  6. Cadaver was brilliant if anyone remembers that. Oh, and the other Bitmap Brothers stuff, like the Chaos Engine! Pinball Fantasies was flippin’ awesome too!

  7. Search for the company.pl as they have a lot of amiga games bundled into a self running exe emulator so may satisfy if you have one or 2 games that you used to play that are on there.

Files are totally legit as well, never had any AV warnings or anything when getting or playing them

  8. I’m so upset I never kept mine when I was a kid, no clue what happened to it. Love Soccer kid and the turtles game that was on it.

  9. Nice! Has it been re-capped? (Had the capacitors replaced?) Because if not, they will leak and can damage the motherboard — get it done soon if you haven’t already.

  10. Lemmings, one of the best games ever! I remember going to sleep and thinking how to solve levels, then sneak to the computer in the middle of the night to try to pass

  11. If you’re up for a challenge, buy a Gotek drive. They can be installed into your A600 and allow you to put all your games onto a USB stick. No more need for floppies.

As for games: Secret of Monkey Island, Cannon Fodder, Speedball 2, Syndicate, Chaos Engine, Super Cars 2, Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, SuperFrog, Alien Breed, IK+, SWOS, James Pond, Turrican (1 and 2), Pinball Fantasies, Pinball Dreams, Mega-lo-Mania, Xenon 2, Lemmings 2, Zool, Flashback, Lotus Turbo Challenge 2, Prince of Persia, and many more…

  12. Hell yeah! I miss mine and I have no idea where it is. Assuming it’s in my parents attic somewhere. I remember LOVING the Robin Hood game, although I’d always end up being hanged for shooting a goose with my bow.

  13. Eyyyy always good to see a fellow Amiga & Lemmings enjoyer! I’ve still got my A1200 after nearly 35 years, still works a treat.

You should try and track a copy of Pinball Fantasies down. No other pinball game has ever hit the spot like that for me. Also +1 to whoever said Elite II, that and Lemmings were basically my childhood.

  14. I still have my 1200 in the attic and as far as i know it still works. I have about 100 games for it. Some that come to mind are:

    Zool

    Micro machines

    Cannon fodder

    sensible world of soccer

    All classics

  15. I loved my old Amiga. Happy memories of playing Fire and Ice, and Captain Planet. Also did ny GCSE IT project on it 🤣

I love Eric Frogsworth! Hello sir 👋

  16. A bit race game focused but Lotus Turbo Challenges 1 and 2, Indianapolis 500, Desert Strike and the aforementioned Frontier Elite 2!
I remember being amazed by the classical music on Frontier.

  17. Did any of you guys ever play ‘fiendish Freddie’s big top of fun’ ? Absolute king of a game ! 🤣🤣

  18. God I spent HOURS playing Lemmings as a kid, bloody love it!

We used to have The Simpsons game for our Amiga too.

  19. I daren’t look at mine – the battery may have leaked on the expansion card.

I like 68k asm and I kinda miss hacking games – Civilization for more resources (pollution goes insane) and Frontier to change planet orbits I remember

Psygnosis published a lot of cool games – Wiz and Liz is probably my favourite, but the Megadrive version [has the moon](https://youtu.be/2yPN99_-xx4?t=5242)

And their [Roger Dean art](https://www.iamag.co/psygnosys-video-games-box-art-covers/) – Tim White too?

  20. Lemmings and that one Paint program I remember as a kid before we got a PS1.

There’s also a ZX Spectrum in the house somewhere.

  21. A600 club!
I got the wild, weird, and wicked pack with the colin curly pushover game, and putty included. I love my miggy, Sadly the left Amiga key is busted, i probably hammered it too much.
Have a good look around for the Mini Amiga, it’s well worth it and emulates really rather well.
