  15. Damn, pretty beautiful looking notes. Why doesn’t the EU produce some designs specific to each county?

    Obviously should still be very clear that it’s a Euro but it sounds really fun to get notes from different areas – like getting a Portuguese ship as change in Germany

  16. I remember holding a 500 escudos bill and thinking: I’m fucking rich.

    It was 1995, and candy would cost 2.5 to 5 escudos a piece (bulk) in the store. 

    That’s 1 to 2.5 euro cents
