  1. Any of the US folks here who might be able to explain the rationale etc. of the decision? For us not so knowledgeable on how the US visa system works.

  2. Idc about Harry but heritage foundation is terrible and really problematic(project 2025 🤮) this case was filed most probably to stir up trouble and nothing else

  3. Having taken drugs doesn’t automatically disqualify someone from getting a non-immigrant visa or becoming a lawful permanent resident. In general, immigration officials are more concerned with people with addictions, people who have committed more serious crimes, and people who are likely to become public charges.

Unless there’s more to the Harry’s past that we don’t know about, this isn’t an instance of him receiving special treatment. The real issue is that other potential immigrants are unfairly scrutinized

It’s also important to note that the Heritage Foundation was not operating in good faith. They have been unfairly attacking Harry’s privacy to push a narrative that he has received special treatment (rather than treatment that all potential immigrants should expect but don’t because of racism & xenophobia in our immigration system) in order to push an anti-immigrant agenda and make it harder/near impossible for anyone to immigrate to the US.

I know many people are prone to being hypercritical of Harry, but using this instance to criticize him is just playing into the Heritage Foundation’s racism and xenophobia.

  4. The Heritage Foundation is also behind Project 2025. I don’t know why they targeted Harry, but I’m sure there’s some malicious rationale behind it, likely related to the mass deportations and raids they want to implement. I’m glad to hear they were shut down.

  5. I feel sorry for the clowns at the Heritage Foundation thinking this was going to work. Harry is a rich, white male who has paid into the system.

He is married to an American, has 2 American children, has invested in the American economy by purchasing a property and paying his taxes.

He’s employed by an American company. He has put more into the American system than he takes from it.

He emigrated under the Trump Administration.

If they deported residents based on taking drugs, half of California would be empty but to name a few.

Better luck, next time with this foolishness.
