Presidential Debate: Trump, Harris on the Russia-Ukraine war

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump showcased starkly different visions for the country on abortion, immigration and American democracy as they met for the first time Tuesday for perhaps their only debate before November’s presidential election.

Trump said he would work to swiftly end the Russia-Ukraine war, even if it meant Ukraine didn’t achieve victory on the battlefield.

Trump twice declined to say that it was in the best interest of the U.S. for Ukraine to win its war against Russia. Harris said it was an example of why America’s NATO allies were thankful he was no longer in office, as she and Biden have sent tens of billions of dollars to help Kyiv fend off Russia’s invasion.

  6. Even much of the GOP sided with Biden when it came time to pony up for Ukraine. No US president, other that Trump, has ever gone soft on Russia (or China). Ever. Reagan brought down the Iron Curtain and freed half of Europe. It's an idiotic and extremely dangerous invitation to WW3. Ask Poland, Germany, Finland, Estonia etc how they feel about that kind of imbecility. Absolute ignorance of history.

  7. To the citizens of USA this is exactly what happened to Iran, Cuba, Venezuela & other countries that had a weak leader. These countries used to have a strong leader, a good democracy, safety & security and lower cost of living, life was fantastic. When you put in a weak administration they will destroy the country, which is what happened to the country's mentioned above and today those countries and others alike, don't have what I mentioned above. Please open your eyes especially to the woke incoherent young people that can't think for themselves.   9. This war started in 2014 under the Obama administration. The US staged a coup. Biden then openly invited war by publicly inviting Ukraine to join nato. That was putins line, they knew it and wanted the war. Ukraine is estimated to have the world's 4th largest oil reserves in the world.
