    Brazil’s President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva has pledged to pave a controversial road in the Amazon, despite warnings from environmentalists that it could lead to “historic deforestation.”

    The BR-319 highway, which runs through the rainforest, connects the states of Amazonas and Roraima to the rest of Brazil. Critics argue that paving the road will increase the destruction of the world’s largest tropical forest and contribute to climate change.

  2. I think there’s a collective group betting on who can extinct humanity first. They all seem to love the same things, and are all a bunch of fucking geriatric dinosaurs. It’s the only thing that makes sense anymore.

  3. Not even the deforestation but the pollution from vehicles. What a nightmare this world is, all these idiots are competing to fuck the world up faster than the next guy.
