Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that the West letting Kyiv use longer-range weapons to strike Russian targets would mean NATO would be “at war” with Russia. Putin spoke as U.S. and U.K. top diplomats discussed easing rules on firing Western weapons into Russia, which Kyiv has been pressing for, more than two and a half years into Moscow’s offensive.

The alternative, if you keep going to a point where NATO really does become fully involved, will not go well for you or Russia. Moscow and St Petersburg are well within range of NATO weapons. What can Russia do? they can not go head to head with Nato as they would really would be outgunned 4 to 1 now even with Russian losses in ukraine war 8 to 1. They can not use Nukes on a Nato country as Nato wouth retaliate asap and both can destroy eachother few 100 times over. Russia not have much option only 2 real or try to get a peace deal or Nuke ukraine but that last would cost Russia even support from China, india and any other who still trade with Russia
