The office of the Springfield [Ohio] city manager, Bryan Heck, issued a statement knocking down the rumors.
“In response to recent rumors alleging criminal activity by the immigrant population in our city, we wish to clarify that there have been no credible reports or specific claims of pets being harmed, injured or abused by individuals within the immigrant community,” Heck’s office said in an emailed statement.
Not every republican is racist, but every single racist votes republican.
I might add legal immigrants.
Remember 6 years ago it was “oh no only the illegal ones…” along with “oh just the abortions for kids…” and “no just trans, never gays…”

I don’t think every republican voter is a racist or bigot.
I do think that every racist and bigot votes republican – because they say so every chance they get.
Scratch the surface even the slightest and you find the racist underneath.
When they rant against “DEI” they’re really just saying “hire only white guys.”
Almost all Republicans, and certainly all Trumpist Republicans, are opposed to equity for and inclusion of nonwhite people. To me, that’s racism.

Some towms still have sunset laws. Others still have sherrifs… There are reaons for that.
They’re racists. My brother in one breath would say I’m not a racist and then in another breath argue that he should be able to say the n word because black people call themselves that then he’ll follow that up with he’d never let his daughter date a black boy after she played with my best friends adopted black son. The whole point of supporting Trump is that they can be bigots and racists with impunity.
Trump could even come up with something better than ‘concepts of a plan’ for his next term, and the racist remarks should disqualify him nevertheless.
Also, Republicans do not believe systemic racism exists, tacitly implying that black Americans are disproportionately poor and in prison because they’re genetically inferior
As I think back, I can’t really recall any vocal Republican I’ve known who didn’t spout some racist trope at one point or another. Some of them were very upfront about it, like it was the expected norm. To be fair, I’ve known some old Democrats who held bigoted ideas too, but that’s not unexpected when you’re dealing with people who were born before WW2 like my grandparents. I think the notable thing is that racism has become ingrained in Republican policy under the mythology of “exceptionalism”.
They have an authoritarian follower personality and believe in an abuse hierarchy.

I don’t understand how people don’t realise this. Either you agree with what is being said or, even if you don’t necessarily condemn it, you are still a part of it by allowing it.
