I think it’s just protecting it in case it rains.
To keep the rain off? That’s a very absorbent product in there. No plastic wrapping at all.
Possibly the postie took the words on the box at face value ?

I’m not suggesting it OP, but if you ever did fancy taking up a life of crime, £50 worth of loo roll wouldn’t be a bad haul.

Your neighbor ordered a Gonk droid.
I’m not sure what the problem is? A courteous postie chose to try and protect a cardboard box from rain.
At this point it’s just the delivery fella having a giggle to him self
It’s better then when a parcel was delivered to me via Evri and left in my “safe place” (I didn’t have one) which is apparently leaving it leaning on my front door which goes directly out onto a busy street.
It managed to stay there until I got down the stairs and saw a guy running off with it. Hope he enjoys his new £6 Aliexpress quality door mat.

Who said it’s Royal Mail? Could be any random courier.
I’ve opened 2 birthday cards today and I’m £200 up, I love being a postman. We don’t give AF about the parcels mate.
You’re lucky 41 didn’t claim it as their own
My postman did this with an old flower pot. It took me a week before I noticed my record cleaning brush under it. I kept thinking I was sure I didn’t buy it from aboard. . Nice thing for postman to do thou just wish he told me ,now I’m searching my garage every time I order something.
