  1. Yes, it’s very easy to propagate. I do it with airlayering and it worked every time. It needs certain temperatures; I don’t think it will work in the winter but otherwise no issue. I can show you how, send me a DM.

  2. The thing I have heard a lot about them Bougainvilleas is that yes- they look awesome and can provide good shade, eg. for a veranda etc – but the downside is that they create a lot of “dirt”, meaning leaves and petals which fall down and have to be cleaned away pretty regularly.

But yeah, we’re looking into getting one as well! Enjoy and I hope you’ll have a beautiful space with your plants and potential Bougainvillea!

  3. Do not. It is dirty for the street and the most important not local plant. Try fig tree, carob tree, sykaminia. Or “shoefig” cactus.

  4. Any big plant shop should have them. They’re pretty but have in mind they are a pain in the ass to clean. They drop their flowers daily so you have to sweep them almost daily. And if it rains get your broomstick ready haha!

  5. Why do you want to suffer?
It is the most annoying plant i ever came across.
Leaves and flowers fall too often. They make a mess.
If you leave them to dry out before you clean it the stem of the flower becomes so tough that it is harder than a needle and can cause some damage. It happened to me when i was younger.

It is too much of a hustle
