Always know that you’ll never be rid of us.

  2. Eh, let them. They don’t have much in their recent history to be proud of. Everyone knows that Germanic people originated in Scandinavia anyway.

  3. ᵂᵃˢ ᶦˢᵗ ᵈᵉˢ ᵈᵉᵘᵗˢᶜʰᵉⁿ ⱽᵃᵗᵉʳˡᵃⁿᵈ

  4. Never ask Germans what happened to all the Germans in Romania

  5. I disagree with the post, but props for OP for his depiction of the poles, thats just spot on lol

  6. Pierre trying to reverse psychology his way in to being German

  7. Germany spans from Cape Town to Arkhangelsk, and from Porto to Valdivostock

I thought it was a well known fact

  8. They follow the official Rundschreiben AFVBADI Wzb355 (Automatisches föderales Verfahren zur Bestätigung, dass alles deutsch ist Nmr. Wzb355.)

    Examples:

    * Anything with a German sounding name even if the guy lives in Mongolia and family been there for 4 generations ->>> “Oughan Grossmeyerghoul, inventor of the automatic yak milking machine is German !”
    * Anything a German was even remotely involved in… ->>> “Helmut Von Gelbezähne developed the 32nd bristle of the 1st prototype of a modern toothbrush. The Toothbrush is a German invention!”
    * Something French…->>> “Frank (even if the guy is from Martinique…), German tribe, thus German! Also French tank reverse gears AchAhahahaha…”
    * Something English..->>> “Saxon, German tribe, therefore German ! Also Brexit Brexit Achahahahahaha…”
    * ect…

    They call it efficiency.

  9. That’s the exact face we Poles have talking about East Germanics. On the one side they were cool and it looks like not all of them left to rob the Roman Empire, what makes them also our ancestors (totally novelty for us since the first medieval Polish Chronicles), on the other hand they were Germanics.

  10. Isn’t it true though? Sorry I am not an expert in Germanic history

  11. Your daily friendly reminder that as a nation, Belgium is about 30 years older than Germany.

  12. But Danes and Dutch are German?? At least that’s what a Bavarian told me

  13. On behalf of all PIGS, thank you Luigi for not being an obnoxious heritage merchant like Hans

  14. Nobody:

Other germanic groups making hundrets times more memes about not beeing german, than germans claiming them beeing german:

  15. Poland? Civilized Discussion? Most poles are hardly civilized, nor capable of speech… They are eastoids after all.

  16. Austrias are literally voting for a party that wants the Anchluss

  17. Was ist des Deutschen Vaterland?
So nenne endlich mir das Land!
So weit die deutsche Zunge klingt
und Gott im Himmel Lieder singt,
    das soll es sein!
    das, wackrer Deutscher, nenne dein!
    das nenne dein!

  18. To be fair, that is mostly a translation problem. Because in English it’s Germanic people and Germans, in our Language it’s Deutsche und Germanen.

So the idea is that certain groups like Austrians are Deutsche as well when such stuff is brought up, not about Germanic people.

  19. You all know ‘shitamericanssay’ – they belittle barry and say things like ‘this app is american’ etc. I feel that many germans show the same hubris and arrogance when they talk about switzerland. Things like many alemannic swiss people not identifying as ‘germans’ and being the same ‘people’ are absolutely unthinkable for them

  20. Reminds me of a certain other country to the East which claims all of its direct neighbors are actually them, just brainwashed by CIA.

  21. The Swiss for example do not exist outside of a political entity. Germans had bonds long before Germany was a thing through culture and language, something the Swiss still don’t have. Our people also extend far beyond the borders of any German nation, reaching Romania, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Denmark and large parts of Poland example. It is what it is.

  22. It’s even worse with Turks and Turkic. The Turks think they’re the preeminent Turkics when in fact they’re basically Arabs today and are the least Turkic of all people on the planet lmao.

  23. OP has a serious addiction to post something about Germany it seems.

  24. People who say “germanic” <<<<< people who say “Indo-European”

  25. Take this and swap Germanic with Slavic and German with Russians.

  26. Pretty much the same thing when it comes to Turkic people and Turkish people, except it happens unironically😞.

  27. This is highly inaccurate, as it tries to suggest other nations would gladly confer with the f*nch
