WHO needs a Tesla when BMW catched up and delivered with the i4/5. They now even got a wagon. Audi is next with the A6 and in some time the A4.
So far, Model Y is the top selling vehicle in the Netherlands this month (478 units), and Model 3 is number 3 (425 units). Seems like they’re doing just fine over here.
I never subscribed to the cult of this guy but I used to think, okay, ambitious, eccentric. Now he’s just another asshole with money.
Not that i could afford an EV right now, but destroying the reputation of a fully electric car manufacturer while your competition are old school car brands that intentionally harmed the environment and health of everyone for years is really impressive

Im no business major but I can tell you that its not good brand synergy to produce electric cars but also have the CEO of the company support climate change deniers on social media.
I honestly dont remember any company flushing all their good will down the shitter as fast as Musk companies have. And all because a man couldnt shut up.
Two years ago I would had thought about buying Tesla, right now even though price is pretty solid I wouldn’t ever buy Tesla from a company of current Elon Musk. I’d rather have European or Japanese EV.
I drive a 2020 Tesla.
No chance in hell I’ll buy another car from a manufacturer owned by a Trump-supporting Zelenskyy-bullying wannabe eccentric billionaire twat.

Europe doesn’t support trump
I knew a couple of people that had Tesla’s and weren’t super happy/satisfied with them. I think the new generation of BMWs will really challenge Tesla’s position in Europe in the premium segment. In general, people that I know who bought electric cars in the recent past have all gone for European brands (or what you would consider European brands) like BMW, Audi, Skoda, Volvo or Mini. Makes me quite happy that (at least as per my subjective perception) it looks as if EU carmakers are gaining ground.
Most people would rather get a real car from a real car company instead of a plastic toy from a billionaire with an ego problem.
He must be anti Europe with all his political takes.
I am 100% the target customer for Tesla, I loved Musk 10 years ago and greatly hate him now. I am actively looking for a new EV to buy in the coming weeks; I am visiting all the car dealers except one: Tesla.
I don’t even care whether Teslas are better. Musk is just such a dick.

Most people don’t care about who owns a company, they care that other brands have caught up
I would suspect, in the early days, if you wanted a car then the main brand was a Tesla (as in, a brand everyone associated with electric cars), even though they have been BMW people or Audi or whatever people before.
Now, those brands have caught up, and Tesla isn’t the default electric car brand any more.
It’s about fucking time. Stop rewarding shitty behavior.
