  1. Considering how popular it’s become I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it starts getting used in future Olympics, not as the main theme since they’ll all have their own, but either as part of the TV broadcasts or as background music at venues (or both). Kind of like how the John Williams Olympic themes are still used today.

  2. That won’t be the last time. My colleagues at work are going to hear me humming it all of the time.

It is such a beautiful melody. And great melodies last forever. Beats change all of the time, but melodies are timeless

  3. Merci beaucoup Victor Le Masne for this absolute banger of a tune! While it’s a shame Paris 2024 has to come to an end, hopefully the legacy lives on through this song (aside from the Phryges, of course)

  4. This music is incredible!

This show should have been broadcasted worldwide. Geo-blocking shouldn’t be a thing in 2024.

I will watch replay tomorrow with a VPN.

  5. France, tomorrow:

“We’re proud to announce a post-closing ceremony ceremony, to commemorate all those who participated in the fourth post-closing ceremony. This subsequent closing ceremony will then later be honored by a post-post closing ceremony.”

  6. And we are still waiting for that dang Soundtrack of all that he wrote for these games. I really want something that is clean audio (personally uncompressed, digital, and vinyl)

Side note, I had my father hear this piece for the first time, who has a degree in music … he was VERY impressed with it! Which actually caught me off guard a little, usually our music tastes don’t overlap much
