Biden's get out of jail card, "yes we believe that British and French long range missiles can be used in central Russia but not American missiles", so if Putin decides to declare war and go nuclear then Biden will say "hold on now keep American out of this, it wasn't our missiles that were used against Moscow " , it's a hedge in case Putin does really go ballistic and start pushing red buttons to destroy Britain, France and Germany!

If Russia goes nuclear, it will be against their real enemy, namely the USA, and that is where the Russian nukes will fly, not Ukraine.
