  1. 14 artillery, I’m actually taking this as a good sign, I think Russia has a tank and artillery problem.

  2. Greetings from Ukraine!

The activity of the Russian army on the fronts increased slightly yesterday, but it still remains lower than in August and early September.

    – The situation in the Kursk direction is dynamic, with attacks being carried out by both Ukrainian and Russian army units. However, the Russian army has not managed to capture larger territories, and Ukrainian forces have also advanced very little. Partly, positions are changing hands, and a larger gray area has emerged where fighting is ongoing. According to the Ukrainian forces fighting in the area, the Russian army has so far been able to concentrate 30 to 45 thousand fighters on the front. This is less than the 60 thousand previously mentioned by the Ukrainian General Staff.
The discrepancy may arise because significantly more forces have been brought to the entire Kursk Oblast area than have been deployed directly into combat against Ukrainian forces. The Russian army is unable to organize a large counteroffensive with such a small number of troops, although the number of Ukrainian forces fighting in the Kursk area is not large. Based on information published since the beginning of the Kursk operation, it seems that Russia lacks artillery power in this area and apparently also lacks combat-ready reserves. Units must be brought from other fronts, which takes more time than expected. It appears that the Kursk operation has reduced the bombing of border areas on Ukraine’s northern border.

    – Positional battles continue in the Vovchansk city area on the Kharkiv front, with no active military actions elsewhere.

    – Russian army attack activity increased towards both Kupyansk and Lyman cities, but no significant success was achieved. There was a significant increase in the number of Russian unit attacks in the Siversk direction, but Ukrainian defenses held firm.

    – In the surroundings of Bakhmut, Russian army attack activity was low. In the Toretsk direction, attacks were slightly more active than in previous days, but these were not successful.

    – Russian forces were very active in the Pokrovsk region, where the Russian army is trying to advance in the southern part of the attack corridor. At the same time, very intense attacks are also underway west of Donetsk, where efforts are being made to advance in the Krasnohorivka area and thus achieve the previously mentioned encirclement of Ukrainian forces. The situation for Ukrainian forces is dangerous. So far, Russian units’ progress has been very slow, and most of the Russian army’s losses come from this area. Active attacks continue in the south, where attempts are being made to encircle the city of Vuhledar. Information on the progress of Russian forces comes from Russian blogs and is not certain.

    – Very active attacks continue on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, but there is no information on the capture of Ukrainian positions. In the southern front, Russian forces have remained passive.
